ABOUT MANNY

Ryan Moore is the director and producer of the feature film documentary "Manny" about boxer/congressman Manny Pacquiao. Moore began developing the idea in 2009 as his first attempt into movie making. Since its inception, Moore has captured over 1,200 hours of Manny Pacquiao’s life, secured Academy Award nominee Liam Neeson as his narrator, and collaborated with Mark Wahlberg, Jimmy Kimmel, and other notable personalities as interviewees in his film. Moore worked closely on an original score with Grammy Award winning composer and producer Lorne Balfe, whose work includes such films/TV shows as Mission Impossible: Fallout, Genius, Pacific Rim: Uprising, Lego Batman Movie, Ghost in the Shell, Inception, Sherlock Holmes, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Dark Knight. For other original songs featured in the film, Moore worked with YARDNOISE and Grammy Award winning producer Chad Hugo of The Neptures/N*E*R*D and bands such as Far East Movement and Mark Foster of Foster the People.

 

"Manny" had its world premiere at the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, TX. The film premiered at the TLC (Grauman's) Chinese Theater in Hollywood, was nominated for MovieGuide's Most Inspiring Movie of 2015, and went on to win the Audience Award at Toronto Reel Asian Film Film Festival. “Manny” was acquired by Universal Pictures International which has released the film in over 75 countries.
